Touring the following film locations takes you through the area of Hradcany, Prague Castle and Lesser Town. The area was featured in such period films as Amadeus, Les Misérables and The Illusionist.
Charles Bridge

In Mission: Impossible after Jon Voight falls from the Charles Bridge into the Vltava below, Tom Cruise rushes to the scene. In The Omen, Father Brennan, played by Pete Postlethwaite, meets Thorn udner the bridge to deliver some shocking news. The same bridge also appears in Van Helsing, Bad Company and Blade II, starring Wesley Snipes. See map location

Prague Castle

The road-story plot of The Brothers Bloom, with Rachel Wisz, Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo, brings the action to Prague Castle. The Matthias Gate of the castle stands in for the entrance to Buckingham Palace in Shanghai Knights, featuring Owen Wilson and Jackie Chan. The west-facing entrance also serves as the entrance to Crown Prince Leopold´s Vienna palace in The Illusionist, starring Jessica Biel, Edward Norton, Rufus Sewel and Paul Giamatti. See map location

St. Nicholas Cathedral

The St. Nicholas Cathedral in Lesser Town appears in a costume ball scene in Van Helsing, starring Hugh Jackman. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - the real one, not the one in Amadeus film - once played the organ in this monumental Baroque church. See map location
