Nightwish in Prague

Fans of a Finnish symphonic/power metal band can look forward to the first individual concert of Nightwish in the Czech Republic. The live show takes place on 20th February 2008 in T-Mobile Arena, Prague (HC Sparta, Prague). Nightwish will come in the typical line-up: Annete Olzon – vocals, Tuomas Holopainen – keyboards, Marco Hietala – bass and vocals, Erno “Emppu” Vuorinen – guitar and Jukka Nevalainen – drums. They have prepared a new album “Dark Passion Play” for the tour. The special guest of the show will be Swedish electronic-metal group Pain that wants to present a new album “Psalms of Extinction” to the Czech and Central European public.

Nightwish appeared in 1996, when the first three members (Tuomas Holopainen, Erno Vuorinen and Tarja Turunen) recorded their first acoustic demo song Nightwish. The original band concept was to create acoustic music played around campfires, but they thought their idea over because of Tarja’s strong opera voice. They added metal elements and new members, who have changed during the years. Nightwish recorded several albums. We can name “Angel Fall First”, “Oceanborn”, “Wishmaster”, “Century Child”, “Once” and the last one “Dark Passion Play”.
Tickets for the show of this unique Finnish band are already obtainable at obscure.cz and cost 770 – 899,- CZK

How to get there: Metro C – Nádraží Holešovice -> tram 5, 12, 14, 15, 17 – tram station Výstavište
