The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra will have a new conductor

 Eliahu Inbal
Eliahu Inbal, the world known Israeli conductor, is scheduled to assume to post of principal conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra from the season 2009/2010. He will displace Czech eminent conductor Zdenek Mácal who cooperated with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra till September 2007. Almost 72-year-old Eliahu Inbal was born in Jerusalem where also studied at the Israeli Academy of Music. His successful studies continued at the Conservatoire de Paris in France and then in Netherlands. During his life he has been engaged by many orchestras in the whole music world. We can mention London Philharmonic, Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra, Teatro La Fenice in Venice or Orchestra Nazionale della RAI in Turin. In Aprill 2008, he assumes to the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.

Prague will be nothing new for the famous conductor. He has just hosted in FOK Orchestra as well as in the Czech Philharmonic. He plans to hold the typical sound of the most known Czech orchestra that the audience like; he wants to target modern composers including the Czech ones, Bohuslav Martinu and Gustav Mahler. Eliahu Inbal should present with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra for the first time in April 2009.
