Zoo Prague belongs to the world’s best zoosZoo Prague ranked among the best 10 zoos in the world according to the prestige American Magazine Forbes that is known for publishing charts of all kind. The largest Czech zoo appeared on the 7th place among such zoos like Animal Kingdom in Orlando, USA, Basel Zoo in Switzerland, Beauval Zoo in France, Berlin Zoo in Germany or Bronx Zoo in New York, USA. Petr Fejk, the director of Zoo Prague, says that the chart means a great surprise and success, because it was created without any lobbing of Prague. The zoo prevailed only thanks to its quality and friendly atmosphere. The main criteria for the chart were conditions for animals as well as for visitors, aesthetics, history and reputation. Zoo Prague is very small with its 111 acres and 4600 animals in contrast to the other zoos, but it can be proud of its animal growth and rare species such as young gorillas, dragon lizards and new gavials.
